Phase One: Create Store Website

The name Brightside was chosen and the logo created. The idea behind it was that the website and the store website would act as each other’s Yin and Yang. We used the host Freewebstore as the store domain. A banner was set as Launching on October of 2022. (Although it was actually launched on July 10, 2022)

Phase Two: Gathering and Setting up Inventory
June - July 2022
These two months were dedicated to buying books, photographing the books, pricing the books, and designing the store. This was also when I worked on integrating the store into our main website.

Phase Three: Online Bookstore Launch
July 10, 2022
The store was launched 2 months before it was initially planned to go live. The site had 28 published products up. This was done to work out any ordering, shipping, or payment issues before we start the marketing process. No marketing was done, but the live store was linked to the main website (Damn That’s Dark!)

Phase Four: Inventory and Light Marketing
July-August, 2022
These months are spent gathering and uploading inventory onto the website. The goal is still 100 items by December 31, 2022. Light marketing also became a goal as the Facebook page was created on August 3rd.

These two months will be spent integrating the website and the webstore and creating cohesion between the two. The theme we are aiming for is a witchy bookstore theme (we will still keep the yin and yang theme as well but will try to incorporate the two.)

Because this was meant to be the original launch and we ended up publishing the site months in advanced to work out any ordering kinks that may arise, this instead will be the month we market the website as if it was just launched.
